Still alive!

I don't think I have ever gone so long between posts! Eeks! I think Facebook is the hurdle. I'm so use to communicating on FB that I forget I have a blog!

Life is so full. I keep wishing for a slow down but I can't foresee it happening any time soon, if ever. Being a single mom, trying to find ways to earn a living from several avenues, caring for two kids, caring for a home, running errands, back and forth to various Dr.'s appts. for everyone, church activities, exercise to take care of me, therapy, support group, etc... well, let's just say I'm tired a lot!

I don't think I'm going to try to play catch up on the past two months. It feels too overwhelming.

This week, our church is hosting our annual week of 24/7 prayer. It is a highlight week for me each year. This year, I worked with a couple of people, one I'd never met before, as we prayed and planned an interactive prayer station. One of many that now fill our church sanctuary to the brim! Wall to wall, I mean! It's a beautiful and sacred sight! I'm sure photos will be posted soon on our prayer blog. This year, our station is quite unique from anything done in the past. It has an Asian feel to it. Our station is intimate and restful... and very beautiful. Somewhat last minute, we were looking for and praying for someone to build us a little "room" as part of our station. A guy came in and OH MY GOSH, what he created was beyond... soooo beyond, my wildest dreams ever. It is certainly not a little box in a room! It's a gorgeous Pergola! One of my partners and I just kept walking to different areas of the sanctuary staring at it, then looking at each other and just giggling. We were like giddy school girls. We are completely humbled and overwhelmed at God's provision and incredible creativity that he brought forth in this sweet brother, Christopher. His ability to visualize, create, and execute something so spectacular and perfect for the vision for the space in only a week and a half just astounds me. I can't wait to show it off in pictures! If I had a large home with a big bedroom, I'd buy this from the church and put it in my bedroom to go around my bed like a 4 poster bed with an asian flare. I'm major in love with this piece! More and more I am drawn to the asian look and feel for things. I think it is the rich textures and colors as well as simplicity. It's very calming without being boring.

Anyway, in order to have space to paint the canvas pieces I needed for our station, I first had to actually clean off my art tables! I, for the first time in months, had 2 days of staying home to work on cleaning and organizing my studio space.. which happens to be my main living area! I'm not completely finished but almost. It feels so freeing!

I can't believe I'm sitting here writing this before 5:00 a.m. I woke at 2:00 with a headache. Got up and ate half a bagel so I could take an Excedrin... which has caffeine in it so I am awake. I only took one but still, I"m awake but tired. It will be a long day. I pray a nap for this afternoon. Otherwise, I don't know how I'll make it through the whole day. I have my support group tonight and won't get home until almost 10:00. I'll be dead!

Well, gonna' go get a few things done. I'll try really hard to do better posting! Oh, and if you are here local, please go down to spend some time at Open Door Fellowship! (19th Ave/ Butler)... it's open 24 hours all week... ending Saturday at noon. I promise you will be powerfully impacted as God meets you there. And if you have insomnia and want to go, know that there are people there on security watch so you are safe, no matter when you go. Even at 3:00 a.m. If I didn't have sleeping kids, I'd be there now!
