Well, I won't be able to post pictures again for a long time... someone broke into my apartment yesterday evening just before I got home with the boys and took both mine and Sam's digital cameras as well as all my jewelry of value. They got some cash but didn't find most of it since it was in two different places. They also stole books! Books people!!! The police officer said that most likely, it was some meth addict just looking for things to take for quick money and the used book store is on the corner. Weird, still.... I'm very sad about my jewelry... especially my engagement ring that was Chuck's great grandmother's ring. I have not worn it in months because the prongs needed some repair and I was afraid to lose the diamonds. I've been putting it off because jewelry is a "want" and not a "need"... now it, along with any other jewelry he'd ever given me, is gone. I'm sick about that ring and my camera. What will I do without a camera?!!!!????
I'm so thankful they didn't take my computer... or have time to. and when I got home and realized my arcadia door in my bedroom was open, I immediately looked for Kenzy and am thankful he did not get out. They came in through my bathroom window... broke it out. And, I"m thankful we weren't here.. but I do suspect they were here when we got home and ran out when they heard the key in the locks. Otherwise, the door being opened for long, Kenzy would have been gone.
We spent the night with my mom last night and I actually hauled all my computer equipment along with me, the kids, and the cat! My window got boarded up so now I'm waiting for it to be replaced.
Cleaning up the fingerprint powder is awful! It's greasy! It took 45 minutes to clean up the bathroom today! I'm hoping the prints the police were able to get will turn someone's name up.
I'm thinking that maybe tomorrow and Wednesday, I'll hit some pawn shops and look for my stuff... just in case.
I didn't finish here at the apartment and get to my mom's until after midnight last night and my rear end is dragging right now. I'm thankful my step-dad came and got the boys around 9:00 so they didn't have to be up any later.
Gonna' finish cleaning up the kitchen and go to bed early. Ya'll pray for our protection and that the kids will not be so afraid going to bed. Last night, they were really freaked out.

Angie, I'm SOOO sorry! Burglary and theft is such a violation. I'm so sad for you about your jewelry, money, and other stuff. BOOKS! I can't imagine. I will pray for your ongoing protection and the protection of your belongings, too. And especially that you and the boys aren't overcome with fear. I'm sure some extra security devices will help ease your fears and increase your security, but I also pray that you each will experience peace from trusting God. I'm so thankful you all weren't hurt, didn't confront the perpetrators, and that Kenzy was still there! God bless you as you all recover from it! Love, Judi
Wow Angie, I am so sorry to hear this. That is so frightening. I can reate, this happened to me once and I felt so violated. I am thankful that none of you were hurt and that Kenzy is fine. Creeps, I hope they catch them.
*hug* this is awful. I'm so sorry to hear of this. Hang in there...
oh my gosh Angie, when it rains , it pours. I will have to up my prayers for you...and I'll be sure and work on a white light to envelop you and your boys and keep you all safe.
hugs,
connie
I'm sorry your stuff is gone, but thank God you and the boys weren't home, and that Kenzy is safe as well.
It is so sad that people have to be victimized like this... I'm so sorry for you and your boys! Thank God that you weren't home at the time. I'm praying for your family!
I'm so sorry to hear about the break in. I hope that the police can catch the people responsible and that you can get your jewelry and cameras back.
So sorry to hear about your break in.
It happened to us back in 2005 and what really upset me was I was less than 100 feet away when it happened.
Although, for us it had to have been teen girls that broke in our home as they took girly movies and other small items.
I hope you can find some of your items.
Along with the others I am so sorry for your loss of items. Also glad you are all safe. Hint when you go to the pawn shops, DON"T say you are looking for missing items. You will get a bum's rush after that. May you have much better luck at that than I did. Prayers....
I am sorry that you had this happen to you! I had a purse stolen once... I know how bad it feels! I will be praying for you! It is good that Kenzy was still there!
Oh, I wish it weren't true! I can't believe it! (And yet, sadly I can.) I'm so sad for you and the extra burden this places on you, when you certainly don't need anything else. But you are all safe, and that is a HUGE relief. I hope you can find some of your things and I will pray that maybe in a miraculous way, some other precious little blessings is the midst of this storm.

Ang, I'm so sorry that this happened to you! :( Everyone has said everything I'd say already. I'm glad that Kenzy didn't get out. The rest, dear as it is, is just STUFF. He's family. I just wanted to let you know that I care. Hang in there, kiddo.
I haven't had time to peek at your blog in a long time. I'm sorry to hear about the burglary. I was never robbed until about a year and a half ago and I was a victim 3 times in a month ... so I know how violated you must feel!
