It's finished!!!

I have now finished my artwork from the weekend class with DJ and Deryn so here she is! I'm pleased with the piece. Now, to work out all the muscle problems from my shoulder so I can get back to doing more art again! The stress of the weekend on my neck and shoulder are in full flare now. I went to the chiropractor yesterday but it's clearly muscular. I"m trying to work it out, use my hot packs, etc... but it's pretty painful. But what a great class! I have several errands to run today and Max has swim lessons so I'd better get movin'...

Angie! This is beautiful. I know that that must have been a great class. I hope you do more of this type of work because you can really paint.

Angie, your piece is stunning! You did a wonderful job and truly took it to the next level. It was so great seeing you again! Hey, try a massage therapist for that muscle tension. Works every time for me.

Angie, this is absolutely incredible. I didn't think I'd like having you add to what I consider a beasutiful painting, but the wirework is perfect. Great job! I'm sorry your back and neck are hurting. I hope you get to relax and take it a little bit easy (I know, that's next to impossible amidst a family).

I'm still trying to get over my envy of you taking a class with DJ AND Deryn -- maybe I'll get over it if they agree to come teach out here LOL

Your painting is just amazing, Angie! It looks so realistic ... I still do cartoony faces. And the wire work is incredible too!

Hi Angie, You did a fabulous job on this piece, it's gorgeous.

Thank you so much for the lovely comment on "The Crow"

I would have mailed private but could not find an address. I had a student down with bad shoulder pain, then I was down for four days with the same, then a friend, and now you? Hmmmm

Wow, Angie! Your piece turned out so lovely! Your drawing/painting talents amaze me and the addition of the wire and beads to this portrait is stunning. I didn't realize until I enlarged the photo that the little leaves are actually text pieces - love it!
hugs,
jackie

Good luck with your muscle issues. I have the same thing from working too long in front of the computer. I have been finding that doing some upper body stretching and weight lifting helps alot.

Kudo's Angie! This turned out beautifully. I just love the way you did the leaves too, I bet your hands were sore when you got done! The painting is so lifelike, great job!

Let me add my enthusiastic post for your beautiful painting. I was wondering how so many people achieved a painting that was so similar to DJ's. And then, there was your beautiful girl from Senegal. It is along the same lines as Dj's, but definitely different! You can tell that you got the painting technique. I hope you will use it again and explore further. Also, the wire wrapping adds such texture to the artwork. love it. You are an awesome blogger too, to share as the workshops went on. WTG!
